I have a question struck in my mind for a while and I cannot find an exact answer for it. Can someone please help me with it.
I have a 4 node SQL 2016 Always On cluster on a Windows 2012 standard servers.
Name, IP address and SQL Port are provided below
Server 1
10.10.4.10

Server 2
10.10.4.11

Server 4
10.10.4.130

In the above setup I have assigned 50100 as the Manual TCP port instead of 1433 to connect to SQL.
We have another set of cluster with the different port for each node. Below is how it looks

So my actual question is
what is the best practice while setting up the port when SQL node is serving the purpose of an AAG and Distributed AAG.
Having different ports will cause any impact?
It is my understanding that AAG synchronization will be done on the HADR end points which we configure while setting up an AAG. So what is the role of this port?
